The S-150 broke the long-travel 29er mould with its race-winning pace and exquisitely balanced suspension and geometry. Multiple group-test wins and international awards confirmed the S-150’s position as a category pace-setter. Our Enduro race team members quickly found the bike to be rocket-fast on all but the toughest EWS courses, winning the British Masters Enduro National Championship on its first outing - but its speed is only part of the story.

With the additional 27.5” wheel-kit available in carbon or alloy rim options and running 27.5 x 2.8” tyres on 35mm wide rims, the bike turns into a high-grip hero at any trail centre. You won’t just beat your PB - you’ll demolish it. The level of connection and low, slack geometry combine to provide a bike that inspires so much confidence and poise, you’ll be taking lines you only ever glanced at before.

However, if you’re neither an Enduro racer or a trail-centre bomber, the S-150 is equally at home on natural terrain conquering a tricky climb or tackling a wet, technical descent in the depths of winter.

“The Whyte S-150 is the bike UK riders have been waiting for, versatile, confident, and outrageously fun to ride fast. It’s a bike that works exceptionally well, everywhere and in every way!” Enduro mtb

“Whyte’s latest trail bike is a do-it-all ripper. It’s a 150mm-travel, plus-compatible 29er that can take on virtually any trail with aplomb” S-150C WORKS - Bike Radar

“The gnarlier and trickier the trail, the more the Whyte S150 C RS shines brightly amongst the rest of the trail bikes out there” S-150C RS - European Design Award

Many of the S-150’s attributes stem from the shorter fork offset Whyte pioneered on this bike.

When RockShox agreed to make us special 150mm travel Pike and Revelation forks with reduced offsets (and by building our unique geometry around these special forks) we were able to create an agile bike that handles with mega-front-end confidence on the descents and climbs steep slopes without the front-end wandering - a common issue with most other slack geometry bikes. The result is a bike that can be bought and ridden by a wide range of riders looking for a do-it-all bike. Combined with the optional wheel-kit this bike is truly able to take on any trail with efficiency, speed and most importantly confidence-inspiring fun!

Significantly upgraded, the new S-150 S gets SRAM’s Guide T 4-Pot brakes, a wider bar, grippier tyres and the new “Charger” damper in the Revelation fork.

The S-150C RS was an award-winning star of the show in 2018, with Pinkbike.com pouncing on it as soon as it was revealed at Sea Otter. For 2019 it gets more front-end grip with 2.5” Wide Tread tyres and the new Pike “Charger 2” damper. This bike is already a benchmark and it is set to move the bar even higher. Both S and the CRS get KS Lev seat posts which we have found to offer great function while remaining super-reliable.Built to devour almost any trail in almost every situation the super-versatile S-150C Works gets a wish list spec, from the new DUB carbon X0 Cranks (over-size alloy axle/BB system from SRAM) to the Whyte carbon rims on Hope Pro 4 hubs.

“Whyte’s S-150 Carbon RS is as up-to-the-minute as a trail bike can get. It’s carbon, it has big wheels, it ticks all the long, low and slack boxes, and hey, that’s wonderful, but what makes the S-150 stand out in the present long-travel trail bike mosh pit can only be experienced by riding it. It pedals, steers and handles less like a bicycle and more like you have zipped on a mountain bike super power suit. In less flowery language: “For sale: 150-millimeter-travel dual-suspension 29er that will make you beg to ride every day. Needs nothing” S-150C RS Pinkbike

“Whyte has done a great job with the suspension, stiffness and geometry. It’s a fast, fun and responsive trail shredder that should suit riders who want a bike that balances agility with stability, and efficiency with comfort” Bike Radar

“It’s supremely balanced, it pedals efficiently and - most of all - it’s a hell of a lot of fun on the descents” AMB Magazine

“Exquisitely balanced suspension and geometry translate into a fast, capable yet playful package” - 5/5 MBUK

“It’s odds-on to become the new benchmark 29er...Great geometry, sizing and suspension. Keen pricing too, given that you can still walk into a shop and sit on one” - mbr
