Massively updated, the new T-130 takes the dynamic-riding, full-gas personality of its award-winning predecessor to new heights.

Latest generation Whyte geometry and suspension deliver extended all-terrain capability in a sleek UK weather-proof package. And trail-ripping 650b wheels keep it fun and playful.

“There’s no trace of flex or fumble, even when really pushing your luck, and we regularly kept pace with the longer-travel bikes on black-run bombing raids” T-130 SR mbuk test winner 4½/5

Built around Whyte’s latest QUAD suspension architecture (as used on the S-150 and G-170) the new T-130 offers all the proven performance benefits of reduced offset Whyte Trail Geometry with a more central rider positioning and improved steering stability. For the rider that means a bike that will climb, descend and corner even better than before.

The kinematics of the suspension have been improved from the previous model in two key ways - the dynamic performance of the leverage ratio and the use of the latest generation of Metric shock technology for maximum telescopic stiffness and performance.

Whyte’s latest OTO (Optimised Trail Offset) geometry system uses a new generation of reduced offset forks. It increases the Trail for improved steering stability and moves the mass of the fork and wheel closer to the steering axis for a more neutral steering feel. An important note: the Reduced Offset Fork is only one part of the formula. Fitting a reduced offset fork (from 46mm to 37mm) to an unadjusted frame would be equivalent to reducing the wheelbase by 8.2mm (due to the 65° head-angle) So, the complete chassis must be designed around the OTO concept and that is what we have done with all our latest suspension platforms.
